Video Documentary “Everybody Street”
This documentary just passed my Facebook timeline by, actually Joel Meyerowitz himself shared it. First thought: that’s old. Second thought: 2013 isn’t old, plus: it’s still great, could watch it again. Sometimes when I grab my camera & go out to see what happens in the warm evening sun I catch myself playing the tune of Boogie’s part in my mind’s eye/ear. Listening to him & seeing Mermelstein or Meyerowitz in action alone is worth the paywall. And I really appreciate Jill Freedman’s approach commenting on digital vs film: “A picture is a picture. What difference does it make which camera you use?” (quoted as far as I remember). It’s entertaining and insightful, the 5$ are well spent. How did you like it?
